  • How do I buy a GiftYa?
    Use the GiftYa website or mobile app to buy a GiftYa by entering the recipient's mobile phone number. It only takes minutes to choose a merchant, select an amount, personalize the GiftYa, and decide when you want the recipient to receive the GiftYa.
  • How can I personalize the GiftYa?
    Every GiftYa includes the ability the upload a photo or video, choose from a variety of fun wrappers, write a custom message, and select the exact date you would like the GiftYa to be delivered.
  • Can I cancel a GiftYa I purchased?
    While you cannot cancel a GiftYa you purchased, if your recipient does not claim the GiftYa you sent by linking it to their debit card within 6 months of receiving it then the full balance will be returned to you as a credit to your GiftYa account. All credits exclude any processing charges, if applicable.
  • What happens if the recipient does not link their GiftYa?
    The GiftYa you purchased will be credited back to you in the form of a GiftYa credit if the recipient has not linked their debit card within 6 months of the delivery date. All credits exclude any processing charges, if applicable.
  • I sent a GiftYa to the wrong phone number, what do I do?
    Please contact [Customer Support online] or call (855) 534-5222 and we’ll be happy to resolve this issue.
  • Is there a limit to my GiftYa purchases?
    When buying a GiftYa, the value must be between $10-$100. Please note: these limits may change from time to time at our discretion.
  • I just received a GiftYa for the first time, how do I redeem it?
    Click on the link in the text message you received and follow the instructions to link the debit card associated with your bank account. The next time you use your debit card at the specified merchant, you will receive a credit on your card for the amount you spent until your GiftYa amount is used in full. Please allow 1-5 business days for the credit to appear in your transaction history.
  • What if I spend more than the GiftYa amount?
    No problem! The GiftYa amount will be credited in full, and your linked card will be billed for the additional amount.
  • Does GiftYa keep my bank account information on file?
    No. GiftYa works with a company named Plaid to connect your bank account information. Plaid has partnerships with most major financial institutions and powers popular apps such as Venmo. GiftYa does not receive or store your bank credentials or debit card number. We simply connect to Plaid to watch for the transaction at the merchant you received a GiftYa for so your account can be credited.
  • How can I view the balances on my active GiftYas?
    Simply log in to the GiftYa website or app, and go to the “My Account” section. Click on “Received GiftYas” to view all your GiftYas and the remaining balances. You can also contact Customer Support at (855) 534-5222 and we’ll be happy to look up your GiftYa balance.
  • What happens if I do not use my GiftYa in full?
    If you do not claim your GiftYa by linking it to your debit card within 6 months of receiving it, the full balance will be returned to the giver as a credit to their GiftYa account. Once you have linked your debit card, you have 6 months to use the full GiftYa amount. If there is a remaining GiftYa balance after 6 months, your debit card will be unlinked and the remaining GiftYa balance will be credited to your GiftYa account.
